CCTV cameras and DVR DEMOs

This page contains demos of different cctv products to assist you in selecting your CCTV solution. These demos show only a few of the hundreds of cctv options that are available. When considering the types of cameras you may want to use (shown on our products link), keep in mind that you can 'mix and match' different cameras types depending on your needs. If you have questions regarding any cctv solution, click the questions or request an estimate here.

For example, our Mpeg4 systems provide results suitable for 'event captures' and offer cost effective solutions suitable for general surveillance such as in stores, warehouses, offices, or for general perimeter security. H.264 represents the newest technology and provides for exceptional enhancement of stored data where clear identification of what's being recorded is important as is the case in specific security conditions, license plate recognition, special events, or for any incident in which pixelated, interlaced Mpeg4 data is insufficient.

CONCEPT: Before starting any DEMO, users should be aware that there are two basic ways of viewing the DEMO from your computer.

(1) BROSWER VIEWING: The first and simplest way is to watch a demonstration via your browser. This method allows you to use the Internet browser from your machine to access the demo and requires a few basic setup steps. These steps require you to (1) establish cctvchicago as a 'Trusted Site' from which you will recieve the feeds that you will view and (2) allow the receipt of ActiveX controls from the 'Trusted Site' in order to open the viewer. Keep in mind that once this is accomplished, you will always be notified that an ActiveX control has been requested and you have the option, if you desire, to refuse, although in doing so you are denied viewer access. The use of browser viewing gives you a 'represenation' of camera capabilities, which is generally of less quality than is available through 'application viewing.' For detailed instructions click on this Read Me First link.

(2) APPLICATION VIEWING: This second method requires the user to install applications which are unique to the camera being viewed. You should first follow the instructions included in the above Read Me First link which establishes cctvchicago as a 'Trusted Site' and allows for ActiveX control messaging. At this stage you have simply allowed your computer to handle certain files without introducing additional programs to your system. What's different here is that 'application viewing' will prompt you to download small program files that are unique to the product which you want to view. The only files which will be downloaded are those allowed from your 'Trusted Site' list; no unwarranted files are allowed. Application viewing provides a 'true represenation' of component capabilities and the viewing experience is superior to techniques used through 'browser viewing.'
